Live Music and Fair Ground Rides Overlooking the Best Beach
As you walk through across the clifftop looking over our stunning beach, the pulsating beats of the Stratos Fear ride will fill the air, adding to the festive atmosphere. Immerse yourself in the sounds of local bands, rocking the Main Stage and the Acoustic Arena with genres ranging from Rock and Blues to Electronica and 80s hits. While enjoying the music, quench your thirst at our on-site bars operated by Cozies Outside Catering and Gorleston’s Bar 1. Don’t forget to tantalize your taste buds with delicious cuisines from various food outlets available at the festival.
Fun Packed Free Children’s Programme and The Litter Arcade
Throughout the weekend, your little ones will have a blast at the fun-packed Children’s Arena, filled with activities to keep them engaged and entertained. On Saturday, 29 July, the Fun Dog Show will captivate audiences of all ages with its amusing antics.
This year, we are thrilled to have The Litter Arcade, as an exciting addition to our programme. Presented by Precious Plastic East, this innovative concept allows children to participate in a litter treasure hunt across the clifftop area using a Precious Plastic East litter picker. It’s a win-win situation as kids have a blast while also contributing to keeping the clifftop litter-free.
For those seeking a moment of relaxation, the Wellbeing Arena offers a sanctuary for some much-needed ‘me time’. Keep an eye out for the Ghostbusters and Star Wars characters floating about on Sunday, adding an extra touch of magic to the festival. And make sure you don’t miss the spectacular fireworks finale, scheduled to light up the sky at 10 pm on Sunday, 30 July.

Fireworks Finale is Back Again on Sunday 30 July
Lyndon Bevan, Chair of Visit Great Yarmouth, highlighted the significance of the Gorleston Clifftop Festival, which has been a key event in the local calendar for over two decades. Drawing both locals and visitors from afar, the festival has grown year after year, providing two days of exceptional entertainment, activities, music, stalls, and a breathtaking firework finale sponsored by Visit Great Yarmouth. The clifftop, overlooking the award-winning Gorleston Beach, recently recognized as the best beach in the UK TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2023, serves as the perfect backdrop for a fantastic family day out.
Prepare yourself for an endless array of entertainment that will keep you captivated throughout the weekend. Join the Jormungandr Austr Saxon & Viking Re-enactment Society as they present a creative display rooted in Saxon and Viking history, accompanied by exciting sports demonstrations. And for all the Star Wars enthusiasts, the Norwich Star Wars Club will be in attendance, ensuring an out-of-this-world experience.

Volunteers – Can You Spare a Little Time to Help?
We couldn’t make this festival possible without the invaluable support of our dedicated volunteers. If you have even a little time to spare, we would love to hear from you. Whether it’s helping with setting up on Friday, assisting with bucket donation collections, distributing programs, or other tasks throughout the weekend, your contribution will make a difference. Additionally, volunteers are needed to help clean up the clifftop area following the festival on Monday, 31 July.
Looking ahead, mark your calendars for 2024 as we celebrate our 25th festival, a milestone achievement after a two-year hiatus due to Covid. Businesses interested in sponsoring the 2024 festival or securing a stall are encouraged to get in touch early in the year to secure their involvement.
Ample free car parking is available in front of the Pavilion Theatre and the boating lake, with a Council-run car park on Marine Parade situated further up. We kindly request visitors to be considerate of local residents when parking near the event.
